We are bringing a new offering to our Substack, your new home of SWPL knowledge and a guide to the ballers on show.

After 5 years of covering women’s football in Scotland we’ve lost track of the amount of times we have been asked about different players. With that in mind welcome… to Encyclopedia How’s Your Touch. A new project from your favourite source of SWPL content providing the run down of players throughout SWPL 1 and 2. Not familiar with the midfielder threading eye of the needle balls to an attacker? Want to impress your pals by telling them to look out for the brick wall at centre back? Worrying about your next opponent and want to learn more? We got you.

Launching today with 22 player profiles from across SWPL1, the encyclopedia will be updated periodically throughout the season, and be kept up to date with any transfers going forward into the future. We’ve even asked players and their managers to describe their styles of play with more in-depth profiles to come.

This is a huge project and we are just a team of 2, we are working hard to cover as many players from as many teams as possible.
